Lets Stop The CSA From Breaking The Law NOW

The campaign is for all NRP/NRPPS to get together and make their stance known to the CSA,  the Ministers and  the Government. The CSA has literally demoralised the NRP/ NRPP and abused the powers given to them and has gone as far as to break the law in order obtain money from the NRP/NRPP. They do not adhere to the Child Support Law nor do they adhere to their own guidelines, thus they turn the NRP/NRPPs lives upside down and literally erode away at their human rights.

 

  It is too common now for the CSA to skip procedures or break laws in order to take child support money. More often than not they get the assessment wrong  and when NRPs stand their ground with the CSA they are then classed as being non compliant. Quite a few organisations such as NACSA (National Association For Child Support Action) have had several meetings with the ministers and the Chief Executive from the CSA and have presented case files to them where the CSA have done assessments wrong and the Chief Executive and ministers have literally turned a blind eye to it all.

 

 Complaints have risen dramatically about the draconian ways they operate, a lot of MPs have become involved in peoples cases and some MPs are disgusted by the way the CSA operate, however there are a few other MPs who haven’t helped at all.

  The main thing about all of this is that the CSA are getting away with breaking the law and are leaving too many NRP’s and their new families with very little to live on and in some cases nothing to live on and it has become common practice now for the NRP who has been paying through a DEO and by an assessment that was calculated correctly from the beginning of their case only to have their DEO increased for no reason, then when the NRP contacts the CSA to ask why the increase, the reply from the CSA is either “oh I have no idea I’m not your case worker I’ll have to get your case worker to call you back” this never happens and when you try to call them back they cannot explain where the arrears have come from. They still continue to take the money from the NRP’s wages in the meantime but the ironic thing about the whole process  is the PWC does not receive the full amount what the NRP pays to the CSA, and as stated by the CSA, 70p out of every pound goes to the CSA or the Government Coffers. Why do you think that when the parent with care is on benefits the CSA is automatically involved?, because it’s more money in the Governments pocket in order to help pay off the CSA’s spiralling debts, the NRP pays, say for example, £500 per month to the CSA the PWC who is working only receives £5 per week of that money, the CSA or Government keeps the rest, hardly fair is it?.

 

 

What we are now going to encourage NRPs to do is to take the individual case workers to court who act fraudulently i.e trying to obtain money through deception and that includes trying to abuse their position, lying in order to get you to pay, threatening to get a Liability order when they refuse to negotiate arrears, they tell you that arrears have to be paid back within 2 years which is soon to become 18 months, this is only a CSA Guideline and is not law. Sometimes the Case worker will tell you to put the arrears on a credit card or take out a loan to pay it off this you MUST NEVER DO as this will only add to your financial burden which you do not need.

  What has come to light and this has come from a CSA caseworker whose name we cannot disclose has told the association that case workers are put under pressure to rake in as much money as possible in order to make the Agencies figures and targets look good, that may be the case but it is not right to make their figures look good at the expense of putting hundreds of families into poverty we together if we stand strong can put a stop to this and bring these Managers to their knees.

 

  The way the NRP is treated by the CSA is far worse than any criminal of this country and why, all because the Government wanted to gain extra votes of the single and divorced mothers during the election and all because the CSA is in so much debt they are looking for easy money making schemes to help pay off the debt and the laws have been altered to help the CSA hide behind it so the NRP loses all his human rights and the powers have been taken away from the Magistrates to help the NRP when the CSA break the law. This is also another reason why the Government will not disband the CSA because it is in so much debt and it is using its own British Citizen to help pay off the spiralling debts.

 

  One very important thing all NRPs and NRPPs need to know and that is in a short while there will be NO Minister to watch over the CSA so who will be left to administer the agency, and lets face it they have caused so many mistakes under a Minister, what are they going to be like without one?.

  The Aim of the campaign is for all NRPs and NRPPs who have been badly effected by the CSA to get together and help grind these people to a halt and to show the Government ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, we want a stop to NRPs taking their own lives and we want to stop NRPs and their new families been driven into poverty. The NRP is there to contribute towards their children and NOT being an open wallet when it suits the CSA. The only way we can do this is to stand together and we mean together, lets stop moaning about it and get out there and do something to stop it.

Dead Beat Dads have now been asking Stephen Geraghty, James Plaskitt and Kitty Ussher about their motto “Reducing Child Poverty by 2010”. We take it that they are meaning parents who split up are the cause of child poverty but after numerous letters to them we have had either no response from them or we have had scanty replies from their under secretaries and totally avoiding our questions.

  We have also requested meetings with them but again they are refusing to speak with us because we dared to use the motto they use when threatening fathers through the media “Act now or we will” We have asked to speak to Stephen Geraghty and Kitty Ussher to point out the damage they are doing to non resident parents, and how their draconian rules will not reduce child poverty but will in fact create a  new type of poverty, “Non Resident Parent Poverty” we have plans for them to read through which is a fair system to both sides for them to consider but they have chosen to refuse to speak to us.

 It seems as though they are willing to see what action we will take by their actions so what we will do is publish all correspondence DBDA sent into the CSA this will illustrate the questions we asked and you can see the response we got back from them, this will allow the general public to make up their own minds how corrupt this Government run Agency actually is. Listen to the recordings see how they avoid answering questions asked, see how professional they are by the way they hang up on you. Just remember folks, these are people working on behalf of the Government, and should be acting professionally, truthfully and obeying the law, we have proven they don’t do any of those things.

Anybody who feels very angry and frustrated towards the whole system, maybe you have been treated unfairly, been or being driven into poverty, had your second family broken up or worse still are you on the brink of suicide, then you need to join us, action will begin against this Agency by the DBDA early 2009, we need to stand our ground and we need to point out that the system is treating divorced fathers worse than terrorists, and there is only one way we can do this as doing things the legal way is simply not working.
